Baby names

So Matt and I started with a book of 25,000+ baby names, and each highlighted the ones we liked best. Then, we narrowed our lists down to the top ten, and compared them to see which names appeared on both lists. The baby boy names to the left are the top five ones we came up with. Please vote and let us know which one you like best (not that it will influence our decision in any way, but we'd still like to know :).

As for girl names... let's hope we have a boy. We pretty much didn't agree on any girl names. :) Maybe at some point in the future we'll be able to put up a girl name poll, but for right now, we'll stick with the boys.

I would have said Carter, but that is what I am naming my first boy so I couldn't choose that one. :)

I personally know of 5 "Carter" babies under age 2. It's a cute name, but there are too many of them.

I voted to Andrew (Drew is cute) but I like Ethan also.

I vote Ethan. Andrew is saved for Steph's future child.

I like Ethan. Welcome to bloggerland, by the way!

Welcome to the blogging world!! I voted Ethan! By far my favorite boy name... but Mike knows someone with that name, so we can't use it I guess... Drew was going to be our first boy... I'm not sure we'll ever have a first boy at this point, but your mom can probably feel for us, right??? :) Keep us posted on all the baby stuff!

We love the name Carter as a first name but obviously can't use it, so you should! I do like the other names too though.

I think it's cool that three of your names have been on my list at some time or another. As much as I like Ethan and Andrew, they are just too common now. You should look up th social security census page (whatever that was, I'll figure it out if you're interested) and it shows all the names out there and how popular they are.
