Happy 2nd Birthday, Nora!

Nora is our sweet, cuddly little girly girl. She loves to dress up and be a princess, and to watch every princess show she can get her hands on, especially Beauty and the Beast ("andaBeast") and Sofia the First. She also loves to sword fight, wrestle, and pretend that she's doing karate, and she's got a great arm. She loves to sing and dance, and starts moving whenever any music comes on. She especially loves to dance to the songs that her princess castle plays, and will ask anyone nearby to dance with her. She is pretty petite for her age, but don't let her size fool you - she's a little firecracker. She and Owen play pretty rough with each other, and though he's a good foot taller than her, she body-tackles him and generally likes to be the boss of him. Lucky for her, he's one of the most patient big brothers I've ever seen. :) She is fearless - she tries things that Owen would never do. She has never had a problem climbing on the big structures at the park, even before she was big enough. She nearly gives me a heart attack almost every time at the park because she literally jumps off the play structures... I have to constantly watch and be right there to catch her. This girly is super sharp - you can't trick her. She spots everything, and can repeat whole conversations. She has a funny squeaky little voice, and a pretty extensive vocabulary. She learns lyrics to songs within a few minutes, and then will sing them all day long. She is LOUD. She talks loudly, she sings loudly, and she screams loudly. She is finally growing out of her milk allergy and is loving trying lots of new treats that she could never have before. She especially loves "chokit chippies". We love this darling little girly. :)

Love that sweet face.

She's all business with her pirate sword.

Squishy smile!

She LOVES animals.

She loves checking herself out in the mirror.

This girly eats SO MUCH FOOD. Maybe it comes from not being able to eat a whole lot with her milk allergy... but she sometimes eats more than I do at dinner.

She always wants to be performing.

Love this sweet baby.

Valentine's Day!

This was Owen's first opportunity to bring valentines to school for his class, so we had fun picking out some free printable ones on the internet. After our adventure to the Star Wars exhibit, of course they had to be Yoda. :) I thought they turned out pretty cute, and Owen was super happy with them.

Side note - valentines in school these days are nuts. When I went to school, everyone bought the pre-made valentines in a box that you fold and hand out. The ones that you had to close with a little sticker were super special. I thought Owen's valentines would be pretty cool, but there were SO many creative valentines in Owen's collection that he brought home. One mom even hand-made cake pops for each kid, and packaged them all up in cute cellophane wrappers with ribbons and personalized tags. Crazy.

My little valentine girly with the candy necklace daddy gave her.

Our ward Primary held a Family Sweetheart Ball the weekend before Valentine's Day. It was so cute and fun - my kids literally danced the whole time. They've got some great moves.
Photo booth!

Nora dancing. Whenever she got tired she'd lay down and dance on the floor.

Can you see her little leggy swinging back and forth? This is one of her favorite moves. :)

Owen doing the sprinkler!

Photo booth with a couple kids from primary.

Love these little Valentine cuties.
