It's been a while...

So it's been a while since either of us has posted, so I thought I'd put an update on here as to what we've been up to:

1. I graduated from BYU on April 24-25. My whole family came out for the ordeal, which was great fun. It was a very noisy and busy few days, but it's always fun having my whole family there.

2. Matt and I spend a very frantic Saturday and Sunday after I graduated packing up our apartment. We're subleasing it for the summer, which means we get to keep everything in our second bedroom and use it as a "storage unit" for the summer. So the 'move' wasn't that big of a deal, but it still wasn't that fun.

3. On Monday April 28, we heard our baby's heartbeat! It was pretty neat. Between 160-170 beats a minute. Pretty cool. Ask anyone who knows me pretty well and they'll tell you that I'm kind of (well, really) a hypochondriac, and have the amazing talent of coming up with symptoms that can only belong to the deadliest diseases out there, so I was quite happy to hear the baby's heartbeat and prove to myself (at least this time) that I'm not crazy for being sick for the past couple of months. :)

4. We started our drive to California after we got out of my doctor's appointment, and I can tell you this - I hate car trips. Maybe it's because I have made the same trips (some variation of driving between California, Utah, and Colorado) millions of times. Maybe it was because I was sick anyway, and being in the car didn't help. I felt like asking Matt every two minutes "are we there yet," even though I knew perfectly well the whole way exactly how many hours we had left and what rest stops were coming up next. I'll just say this - rising gas prices have just confirmed what I have secretly known all along - flying is a much much much better way of traveling.

5. Summer in California has started!! Matt and I babysat his family for about 5 days while his parents were in Jerusalem. We had lots of adventures - we ate "spoonghetti," had 31-cent Baskin Robbins ice cream, and had a tea party complete with British accents, frilly dresses, and weenies on a toothpick. Great fun. We loved hearing about the trip once Steve and Debbie got back as well. The rest of our summer will consist of work work work... we're trying to save up money so that we'll be ok once the baby comes and I can't work anymore.

Anyway. That's what we've been up to. Perhaps I'll post pictures later. The tea party ones are especially priceless...
