More ocean house...

One of our favorite places on earth. We just can't get enough. :)

Hiking in Pacific Grove.

SQUISH.

We found this cool fort.

Owen thinks the Gruffalo lives down here.

Crossing the bridge with grandpa!

Becca, Kevin, and Nora.

We love the rocky beach!

Seriously, how cute is this kid??

We watched the Sloat's landing reenactment.

Maritime museum at Fisherman's Wharf.

We found a piano on the pier!

Grandpa and the kiddies.

We got crepes at Fisherman's wharf - they were SO delicious!

4th of July 2013 at the Ocean House!

Ready for the parade!

The whole crew.

I love Owen's "WOW!" face here.

I just loved this little outfit we found for Nora. Look at that cute little bow on the back!

These kids love Curious George...

...and each other!

Don't mess with Owen.

Flying!

Owen got his face painted and got a balloon sword!

Nora thinks hers is a sword as well... she wants to do everything Owen does.

Owen saw a picture of a cake like this and had been asking for several weeks if we could make one.

Cute cousins at the 4th of July concert. I missed sunscreening that little triangle on Nora's cheek, and she got scorched. Poor baby!

Everyone at the concert.

My cute parents.

Ryan, Lexie, and Katelyn ready for the music to start!

Cousins.

This little cheeser danced through the whole concert.

Owen lent her his sweatshirt when she got cold.

Cheeeeeeeeeese!!

Alameda County Fair

We are lucky to have the Alameda County Fair right in our town! We get free tickets every year through being fans of different things on Facebook. We picked a weekday and went as soon as it opened, so we were able to park in town and walk less than a block to get there. The whole day was totally free for us, so we let Owen spend some money on rides. He thought that was a pretty good deal. It was over 100 degrees, so we only stayed for about 2 hours rather than all day. Next year we may try coming at night when it's not roasting!

These kiddies love to color.

Figuring out what we're going to see first.

Animals! We saw the barn where all the 4H animals were kept.

We had just finished reading "Charlotte's Web", so the pigs were a big hit.

Model railroads.

Owen likes those dinosaurs in the model railroad.

Motocross show!

It kinda freaked Owen out a little.

Watching the pig races

It was suuuuuuper hot that day - 102 degrees.

Racing cars!

Taking a break in the air conditioned display rooms. Nora was done.

We let Owen ride two rides - this was his first pick.

And his second pick - he loved this one and kept going backwards so he could do things again, even though you're not supposed to. The ride cost 4 dollars, though, and there weren't any other kids on it, so I wasn't about to make him get out.
