Easter 2013

I spent most of the weeks leading up to Easter preparing to participate in The Lamb of God oratorio by Rob Gardner, performed by the Temple Hill Choir and Symphony. It was a tiring but great experience. Here are a few pictures from that:
We performed six times at three different venues in the Bay Area - these photos are from our last performance, and our only performance at St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco.

After the show... so tired and glad but sad to be done.

Lexie and I played together!
My birthday was also the Friday before Easter - I spent it performing, and didn't even see Matt until I got home at 11 or so. But I came home to a great birthday present:
That's right - a box set of all 7 hardcover Harry Potter books. LOVE.

Birthday cake!!!
The actual Easter festivities were pretty fun, too. It was Nora's first time collecting eggs... and she didn't really get it. She was still cute, though. :)

Why am I doing this, dad??

Owen's got the whole routine down.

Including the obligatory photo op.

Proof I was there.

Cutie kids.

Nora was much happier once I let her go inside to play with the toys.

Stripped down kids ready to dye Easter eggs.

...and the sibling love is over for the moment. :)

We had so many things going on that week that we only had a little bit of energy left for egg-dyeing... so these were nowhere near as cool as our "monster" eggs from last year. Oh well.

Easter Sunday matching!

Nora's first Easter basket!

You gave me toothpaste, mom?? Thanks.....

Food!! That's more like it.

Still looking for his basket.

The cheap little airplane fan thing that he had been talking about for months after seeing it in the checkout lane at the store (HATE that they put that stuff right at kid level when we can't escape.... ugggh). The Easter bunny drove all over town trying to find it and was finally successful. Oy.

Nora stealing candy.

Owen wanted to take a picture of us, so he put us in the headbands they got for Easter.

This is how Nora felt about Easter after three hours of church and a mandatory Easter basket and egg hunt.

Trying to get Easter pictures.

At least I got a good one of this cutie.

He thinks this pose is super cool. :)

Love this wacko.
