Matt, Nicki, Owen and Nora live in the San Francisco Bay area. Matt is a research analyst at CBRE and is loving his job. Nicki spends her time playing with Owen and Nora, reading, crafting, and taking lots of pictures. Owen loves to read, sing, throw toys, and quote movies. Nora is growing quickly and loves to be the center of attention. We have a wonderful life!

September 2014

September was a pretty normal month - getting back in the swing of school for Owen and trying to get Jack on a good schedule so that his naps worked out around drop-off and pick-up. Owen is going to the elementary school right by our apartment (instead of one several miles away like last year), so drop-off and pick-up is much easier. We walk most days.

Jack's first solid food!

This is how he feels about solid food - not totally lovin' it.

Love his face. And that round round head.

He's such a smiley little guy, and in general a super easy baby. If it weren't for his dairy allergy, he'd definitely be my easiest by far.

I love it when my sweet babies fall asleep at the dinner table.

Baby selfie!

Love those cheeks and those eyelashes!

Nora telling me a story about her princesses.

We love to play Headbandz - it usually involves some acting on Nora's part. :)

Nora bit Owen super hard and drew blood through his shirt... can you see the scrape marks of her teeth?! Little cannibal.

This is Jack at about 5 1/2 months...
And this is Nora at the same age. I think they look a lot alike.

Love this little flat smile that he does.

Lazy Sunday morning (hooray for afternoon church!) building legos.

Cute brothers.

Nora calls her pajamas "jwammies", pronouncing the "W" and everything. :) I made her these shark jwammies from a super cheap clearance tank top at Walmart.

I LOVE Nora's funny little voice. I wish I could just bottle it up and keep it forever.

This boy is ready to roll! He rolled over for the first time on the 14th of this month - at about 4 1/2 months.

August 2014

August 2014 highlights: Jack's first SF Giants game, fun with P2 Primary kids, lots of outside play, our family "unbirthday" party, Owen started kindergarten, and another ocean house trip.

Go Giants!

Cousins at the game. Grandma and grandpa Bromely gave each one $20 to spend on treats. These kids went nuts. Each one had an overflowing Ghirardelli hot fudge sundae. Not sure how much of the game they actually watched, but we had a fun time.

Cute primary boys at the primary service night.

My cute dolly. She's so excited that she can finally eat ice cream!

Playing "dirt store" in the backyard.

Make-your-own pizza at our "unbirthday" party.

We have no summer birthdays in our family, so we do an "unbirthday" party in August for fun.

Pin the tail on the donkey!

Unbirthday cake!

This is the art stuff Owen has done over the past year (in TK and at home). And this is AFTER we got rid of about 75%. This kid produces so. much. art. We told him we'd take pictures because although we do keep a binder of very special pieces he does, we can't possible keep all of his favorites.

His arctic animals... I love that walrus painting he did.

Some of his sea animals, holiday creations, and meadow animals (I know, random - his teacher had a big huge "meadow" on their wall that they added creatures to all year).

Owen's Titanic diagram. The kid is obsessed with the Titanic. He reads all the books he can find on it, watches all the documentaries on Netflix, keeps the Titanic edition of the National Geographic in his room, and draws the Titanic on everything.

His sea turtle and sea urchin.

Nora wanted to show something of hers off too. :)

This is Owen's drawing of me flying around in space with a jet pack (hence the flames between my legs). This picture both cracks me up and makes me feel awkward at the same time...

This is SOME of the art that we got rid of. This kid needs his own recycling bin.

First day of kindergarten!

Nora wants to do everything that Owen does.

Dropping him off in his class!
Cute boy. :)

Climbing trees at the ocean house.

Matt's parents and two of his sisters came with us.

Love these cute faces. They love each other so much.

The ocean house always wears these kiddos out - we normally have a very quiet drive home.

Jack is getting so big!

Love that round head. He is seriously such a smiley, cheerful baby. We couldn't be more in love with him.

I think Nora and Jack look a lot alike, especially their eyes. Love these three.

Eyelashes!
