Nora's first birthday party

We had Nora's first birthday party at the park where I had my first birthday. We had a picnic then went back to grandma Bromley's house for cake.

She ended up eating this cupcake pretty unwillingly with only one finger at a time.

This baby loves cookies. Can you tell? I have a series of photos of Owen doing the exact same thing. :)

I gave this girl an Oreo and came back two minutes later to find this. YUM.

Faces

I have the best job... playing at home all day with my two crazies. Owen has recently become interested in taking pictures, so I'll often hand the camera to him and let him snap away, or (more often) we set the camera to timer and do a whole bunch of silly faces in a row. I love the crazy faces these kids can do.

One of Nora's favorite things to do is pull Owen's hair and smack him in the face while he's reading books. They both think it's the most hilarious thing. :)

Family hikes

One of our family goals this year is to go on a hike or adventure every month. These pictures are from the hike we did in the hills west of Dublin. It was a beautiful day, and we had a great time!

We made it! That's 580 in the background, looking toward Dublin/Pleasanton.

We found this little shrine thingy at the top... 

....so of course we had to take pictures with it.

Owen found a geocache!

Don't let the previous pictures fool you... Owen and Nora spent most of the time riding in style and eating all the snacks. :)
